Zelensky thanks Epifaniy for "advocating for Ukraine" abroad
The President congratulated Dumenko on his birthday.
On February 3, 2025, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated Epifaniy Dumenko on his 46th birthday, emphasizing that under his leadership, the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) "protects the values of human life and teaches mercy," according to the OCU website.
The President also thanked Dumenko "for advocating for Ukraine on the international stage, conveying the truth about the war in our land to the world, and highlighting the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people."
Earlier, the UOJ reported that during an ecumenical consultation in Warsaw, Dumenko justified the seizure of churches by citing the unwillingness of the UOC to engage in dialogue with the OCU.
