St. Nicholas Church of UOC damaged by Russian shelling in Pokrovsk

The ceiling was damaged, walls were shattered, windows were blown out, and shrapnel scattered throughout the church.
At 7 a.m. on January 31, 2025, as a result of shelling by Russian forces, St. Nicholas Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the city of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, was damaged, according to the Telegram channel of the Pokrovsk Vicariate.
The blast wave damaged the ceiling, shattered the walls, blew out the windows, and scattered shrapnel throughout the church. Published photos also show that auxiliary buildings near the church suffered significant damage.
As the UOJ previously reported, in Pokrovsk, a shelling on December 21 damaged the Church of Archangel Michael, and on January 2, the Church of Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Volodymyr the Great was also affected.
