The draft law envisages removing procedural regulations on methods of influencing the psyche currently in force.

A draft law, No. 12030, titled “On the System of Mental Health Care in Ukraine,” has been introduced in the Verkhovna Rada. It foresees eliminating the regulation that limits non-medical practices, such as hypnosis and psychological influence techniques, to specially designated locations.

In other words, the draft law seeks to allow such practices to be conducted everywhere, without the territorial and procedural restrictions currently in place.

As previously reported by the UOJ, a prior proposal in the Verkhovna Rada suggested creating a registry of tarot readers, numerologists, yoga instructors, and other "spiritual practitioners" for taxation purposes.
