Believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church joined in providing assistance to the victims from the first hours after the tragedy.

The charitable foundation of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine, "Mir Vam" ("Peace to You" - Trans.), donated financial aid to the Okhmatdyt Hospital, which was significantly damaged as a result of a Russian missile strike on Kyiv the day before. This was reported by the UOC's Information and Education Department on July 9.

It is reported that the Primate donated one million hryvnias for the restoration of the capital's hospital.

Additionally, the UOC press service notes that believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church joined in providing assistance to the hospital from the first hours after the tragedy. Volunteers from the "Parasol" movement, operating at a local church, delivered medicines and began collecting necessary items and food for the victims.

As the UOJ previously reported, His Beatitude expressed condolences to the director, staff, and patients of the Okhmatdyt Hospital, noting that "the Ukrainian Orthodox Church prays for the speedy recovery of our children, the strengthening of parents, and calls on its faithful to offer special prayers for all those affected."
