Enthronement of newly elected Bulgarian Patriarch taking place in Sofia
The ceremony is attended by the Primates and representatives of the Local Churches, the President and other dignitaries of Bulgaria.
On June 30th, elections for the new Patriarch of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church were held in Sofia. The enthronement ceremony of the newly elected Patriarch of Bulgaria and Metropolitan of Sofia, Daniel, is taking place at the Patriarchal Cathedral of St. Alexander Nevsky in Sofia.

The enthronement is being conducted in the presence of Patriarchs and representatives of Local Orthodox Churches. The Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople is also in attendance. President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev, Vice President Iliana Yotova, as well as other politicians and high-ranking officials are present at the ceremony.
As reported by the UOJ, Metropolitan Daniel of Vidin was elected as the new Bulgarian Patriarch and Metropolitan of Sofia by majority vote.
