The UOC has been ordered to return two memorial temples in Pereyaslav and Kamianets-Podilskyi to the state.

On April 10, 2024, in Kyiv, the Supreme Court of Ukraine issued a decision to return two temples, previously used by religious communities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, to the state. We are talking about the Archangel Michael Church in Pereyaslav of the Kyiv region and the St. Nicholas Church in Kamianets-Podilskyi of the Khmelnytskyi region. This was reported by the website of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy.

By its decision, the Court ordered to remove obstacles to the exercise of the right to use the Michael Church by the National Historical and Ethnographic Reserve "Pereyaslav". The religious community of the UOC St. Michael Parish in Pereyaslav must voluntarily vacate the Michael Church and transfer it to the reserve.

Also, the religious community of the UOC St. Nicholas Parish in Kamianets-Podilskyi was obliged to vacate the church building and transfer it to the National Historical and Architectural Reserve "Kamianets".

It is reported that the decision of the Supreme Court is final and cannot be appealed.

As reported by the UOJ, the Supreme Court of Ukraine made a decision on the case of transferring the Orthodox community to the OCU, thereby apparently giving the green light to raiding seizures.
