Whether the American president has accepted the invitation to attend the festive events in Kyiv, to which the head of Phanar already promised to come, is still unknown.

Vladimir Zelensky invited US President Joe Biden to come to Ukraine to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Independence and take part in the inaugural summit of the Crimean Platform. This was reported in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in response to a request from Radio Svoboda.

Asked about the preparation of the visit of the president of Ukraine to the United States, the diplomatic service said that "the organization of mutual visits at the level of Heads of State remains on the permanent Ukrainian-American agenda."

Whether the American president accepted Zelensky's invitation to attend the festive events in Kyiv, to which the head of Phanar had already promised to come, the Ministry did not specify.

We will remind, on October 16, 2020, Vladimir Zelensky paid a visit to Phanar, during which he met with Patriarch Bartholomew and invited him to Ukraine. On November 30, after a festive service with the participation of Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal, the head of Phanar announced that he intends to visit Ukraine in August 2021.

The UOJ also wrote that after the announcement of the results of the presidential elections in the United States, Patriarch Bartholomew sent a "warm congratulatory letter" to Joe Biden, who "gives everyone hope for a better world." In response, Biden expressed his hope for close cooperation with the head of Phanar and stated that "we need your guidance."
