UOC eparchies prayerfully commemorate soldiers of World War II
The UOC clergy held memorial services for the dead and prayed for peace in Ukraine.
On May 8-9, 2023, UOC eparchies prayerfully commemorate fallen soldiers of World War, who defended our land from Nazism and those soldiers who in our time gave their lives, defending Ukraine from Russian aggression, reports the UOC Information and Education Department.
Archpastors of the eparchies, together with the clergy and believers, laid flowers to the monuments of fallen soldiers and visited memorials and cemeteries.
Everywhere, requiem prayers were offered, memorial services for fallen soldiers were held and prayers for peace in Ukraine were made.
