Metropolitan Lazar of Crimea removed from UOC Synod
The UOC reported that the Synod members decided to remove Metropolitan Lazar from the roster of permanent members of the Holy Synod.
On March 20, 2023, at a regular meeting of the Holy Synod of the UOC, a decision was adopted to remove Metropolitan Lazar of Crimea and Simferopol from the Synod, the UOC Information and Education Department reports.
The statement says that the decision to remove Metropolitan Lazar from the roster of permanent members of the Holy Synod of the UOC was adopted “due to the impossibility of participating in meetings of the Holy Synod.”
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Holy Synod of the UOC issued a statement addressed to Volodymyr Zelensky.
