Zhitomir eparchy reports the fake on non-commemoration of Patriarch Kirill
Clerics of Zhitomir eparchy received fake "orders" with a call not to commemorate the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church.
Zhitomir epaprchy reported fake “orders” calling on behalf of the Metropolitan Nikodim of Zhitomir and Novograd-Volynsk not to mention Patriarch Kirill during the divine service. It is reported by the press service of the UOC eparchy.
As the press service notes, over the past days, several clergymen of the eparchy have received fake letters by mail. In the "appeal", Metropolitan Nikodim allegedly "orders" to stop the prayer commemoration of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus.
“We inform officially that such “appeals”are false and falsified and have nothing to do with the Zhitomir eparchy and personally with its ruling metropolitan,” the eparchy stressed. “It is regrettable that there are individuals who do not want peace and prosperity for our people but they are doing everything to divide and alienate people from God.”
Earlier, a similar document calling for the end of the commemoration of Patriarch Kirill was announced by the head of the UOC DECR Protopriest Nikolai Danilevich.
