Igor Dodon asks Patriarch Kirill to help Moldova unite
Mr Dodon expressed confidence that the Orthodox Church will help settle the problem relating to the Trans-Dniester conflict.
“The Orthodox Church, faith can serve as a key momentum and impetus in the matter of the country’s unification,” said Igor Dodon. “Literally several weeks ago I suggested creating a national reconciliation platform. With your assistance we will undoubtedly have chances to resolve this problem”.
In his turn, the Primate said he wished there could be “such political schemes which would appease aspirations and hopes of both parts of the Moldovan parish.”
