Another temple assault is afoot, – UOC believers of Ptichya village
“Church-related matters should not be resolved in village clubs!” think the parishioners of the UOC Holy Dormition temple.
The title to the temple was granted to the religious community back in 1996, the right having been also approved by the decision of the Supreme Commercial Court of Ukraine dated 26 January 2016. Herewith holding any local referendums has been prohibited in Ukraine since 2012.
The temple in Ptichya village and the parish-owned house is currently under arrest within the framework of the criminal proceeding. Yet the Kiev Patriarchate from the very beginning refused to follow the court decision having had their worship services in the house for two years now, while the UOC faithful were compelled to pray in the yard-based garage of their senior priest.
The UOJ follows the developments.
