In the conversation, His Holiness Patriarch Neophyte asked about the situation of the St. Sophia of Kiev, which he visited during his previous visit to Ukraine in 2012. According to the Patriarch, the cathedral made a great impression on him. During the meeting, one of the topics under discussion was the state of interfaith relations in Ukraine.

The Primate of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church wished His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy, the bishops, clergy and the faithful of the UOC God's help, patience and hope. Patriarch Neophyte assured Metropolitan Anthony that the Bulgarian Church prays for peace in Ukraine, prayerfully empathizes with pain and trial of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and expressed confidence that all of these trials will end soon.
