Over 100,000 expected for canonization of Mother Teresa

Vatican spokesman Greg Burke told reporters at a September 2 press conference that all of the 100,000 tickets allotted for the ceremony have been distributed. However, he said, officials fully expect that thousands of people without tickets will crowd the streets around St. Peter's Square for the ceremony.
At the press conference, the man who was healed by the miracle that qualified Mother Teresa for canonization told reporters that he does not consider himself special. "Maybe it was me this time, but maybe tomorrow it will be someone else," said Marcillio Haddad Andrino, who was inexplicably healed of a deadly brain infection. "The merciful Lord looks at us all without distinction," he noted.
