UOC parish in Mali Dorohostai consecrates Sunday school
On September 30, 2026, premises for a Sunday school at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church’s St. Spyridon of Trimythous Church were consecrated in the village of Mali Dorohostai, Mlyniv District, Rivne Region, the Rivne Eparchy press service reports.
The consecration, attended by the parish’s young members, was led by Archpriest Vasyl Ivaneiko, dean of the Mlyniv District, concelebrating with the church rector, Archpriest Oleksandr Yashchuk. During the service, prayers were offered for the children who will study in the new classroom, for their mentors and teachers, and for all the benefactors whose work and donations made its construction and furnishing possible.
After the prayers, Archpriest Vasyl Ivaneiko said the Sunday school is intended to be not only a place where children learn about God, Holy Scripture, and the life of the Church, but also a welcoming center for friendship, creativity, and spiritual growth.
As the UOJ reported, the Rivne Eparchy held a “Bible Experts” competition.
