Several UOC churches damaged in Ovruch Eparchy due to RF shelling
As a result of a Russian attack, the Holy Trinity Church in the village of Novaky and the Intercession Church in the village of Khotynivka in the Zhytomyr region were damaged.
As a result of another Russian missile attack on the night of July 30, 2026, several churches in the Ovruch-Korosten Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church were damaged, report believers on Facebook.
According to the information published on the page of the Holy Trinity parish, the church in the village of Novaky did not sustain critical damage. The blast wave blew out a window frame along with the windows and tore out plastic structures. At the same time, as noted, the dome with panoramic windows was preserved by the mercy of God.
The community is asking for help with the restoration of the shrine and has published the payment details.
Priest Heorhiy Kuznetsov writes that in one of the villages of the Korosten community, the Intercession Church was damaged along with residential buildings. The blast wave tore off the roof of the church, blew out the doors and windows, and also destroyed the ceiling.
According to the UOJ, the church is located in the village of Khotynivka.
As the UOJ reported, the UOC Church of St. John the Baptist was damaged as a result of an airstrike on Sumy.
