UOC Delivered Another Aid Package to Displaced Families in Kyiv
The social department in the capital provides weekly support to families who were forced to leave their homes due to the war.
In Kyiv, staff of the Synodal Department for Social and Humanitarian Affairs of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church conducted another distribution of humanitarian aid for 100 refugee and displaced families. The event took place on July 18, 2026, as part of the Mission of Mercy. This was reported by the press service of the UOC Synodal Department.
One of the key areas of the Mission of Mercy's work remains the weekly support of families who were forced to leave their homes due to the war. Each family received a humanitarian package containing food and personal hygiene products.
In the #BeneficiaryStories section, department staff share accounts of people who, despite severe hardships, have not lost hope.
Since the beginning of 2026, more than 2,200 humanitarian packages have already been distributed under the program. Regular assistance allows displaced persons to partially cover their basic needs amid the ongoing war and forced displacement from home.
As the UOJ reported, the UOC social department in Kyiv had previously supported 100 displaced families under the same weekly program.
