Yelensky: Ukraine's soldiers are fighting for religious freedom
Viktor Yelensky has listed China and North Korea among the enemies of Ukraine.
The head of the State Service for Ethnopolitics Viktor Yelensky stated that Ukrainian servicemen and servicewomen are fighting the enemy for religious freedom. This was reported by the press service of the SSEP.
"This is very important now, when our men and women are fighting at the front — not least of all for religious freedom. After all, our enemies are 'distilled', absolute enemies of freedom of conscience. This is the Russian Federation — a natural enemy of everything free; China, where the Communist Party dictates; and North Korea, which sends people to concentration camps. And the fact that Ukraine stands in this global battle on the side of absolute freedom and good — this is an important dimension," Yelensky emphasized.
The head of the agency did not elaborate on the state of religious freedom in Ukraine.
Previously, the UOJ reported that the UN accused Ukraine of persecuting UOC clergy, communities, and journalists.
