AUCCRO delegation called in Brussels for Ukraine's accession to the EU
Representatives of the AUCCRO, during meetings with European experts in Belgium, advocated for Ukraine's earliest possible European integration.
A delegation of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations (AUCCRO) visited Brussels, where it held a series of meetings with European experts and religious figures. One of the topics of dialogue was a call on European institutions to accelerate the process of Ukraine's accession to the European Union.
Ukraine's religious leaders, during the discussions, emphasized that the country's full membership in the EU is a necessary condition for ensuring long-term peace and stability. In their view, Ukrainian society has already made its value choice and now awaits decisive steps from European partners.
The visit of the Ukrainian delegation took place with the support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation's Representation in Ukraine. As part of the trip, representatives of the denominations discussed with their European counterparts not only political prospects, but also issues of international humanitarian cooperation, as well as the role of religious communities in the country's reconstruction processes.
As SPZH reported, the GRECO discussed with the Council of Churches the review of laws for EU compliance.
