Primate of Bulgarian Church visits Patriarch Bartholomew
Patriarch Bartholomew and the Primate of the Bulgarian Church departed for the Island of Imbros.
On the morning of June 9, 2026, Patriarch Bartholomew personally welcomed Bulgarian Patriarch Daniel upon his arrival in Istanbul, reports the Ecumenical Patriarchate on Facebook.
Immediately after the meeting at the airport, the Primates headed to the Island of Imbros. The visit program includes a visit to the homeland of the head of Phanar and joint divine services.
As the UOJ reported, a delegation of the Constantinopolitan Church visited the Bulgarian Patriarch. The parties discussed preparations for celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of patriarchal service and the 65th anniversary of the diaconal ordination of Patriarch Bartholomew, emphasizing the importance of mutual communion in the name of the unity of the Holy Orthodox Church.
