Head of Turkey's Ministry of Internal Affairs: I believe Jerusalem will return under Muslim rule
Turkey's Minister Tells How He Asked God for the Position of Governor of Jerusalem.
Turkish Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi announced the return of Jerusalem under Turkish rule. At a meeting of the ruling party in Ankara, the official expressed confidence in restoring the borders of the Ottoman Empire and called President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan a world leader. This was reported by Israel Hayom.
Mustafa Çiftçi stated that Turkey would soon regain control over Jerusalem just as it had previously gained influence in Karabakh, Damascus, and Aleppo. The minister emphasized that these lands historically belonged to the Turkish government and would necessarily become part of the state in the future.
The head of the ministry spoke of his long-standing dream to become governor of Jerusalem for at least one day. Çiftçi revealed that he constantly asks God for this in his prayers.
As reported by the Union of Orthodox Journalists, Erdoğan performed namaz in Hagia Sophia on the anniversary of the conquest of Constantinople.
