Patriarch Theophilos presented Donald Trump with the highest order of the Jerusalem Church

A meeting took place in Washington between Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem and United States President Donald Trump. The negotiations at the White House lasted about forty minutes. This is reported by Vima Orthodoxias.
The Primate of the Jerusalem Church honored President Trump with the title of "Grand Crusader" of the Order of Crusaders of the Holy Sepulchre. This award is the highest distinction and one of the most significant honors of the Jerusalem Patriarchate.
The interlocutors focused attention on the situation of Christian communities in the Middle East, which face pressure and threats amid regional instability. Patriarch Theophilos called on the US President to assist in protecting believers and ensuring the right to freedom of worship in the Holy Places.
