Military recruiters abduct UOC priest in Vinnytsia region

Archpriest Volodymyr Zadneprianets of the Tulchyn Eparchy was detained on May 27 and has been held at the Haisyn TRC ever since.

On May 27, 2025, officers of the Haisyn Territorial Recruitment Center detained Archpriest Volodymyr Zadneprianets, a cleric of the Tulchyn Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Relatives of the priest reported this to the UOJ editorial office.

According to available information, Archpriest Volodymyr Petrovych Zadneprianets serves at one of the parishes of the Tulchyn Eparchy in Vinnytsia Region. Since his detention, he has been held at the Haisyn TRC and, as of the time of publication, has not been released.

As the UOJ reported, TRC officers abducted a monk of the Myltsi Monastery of the UOC. Cases of forced detention of UOC clergy and monastics by officers of territorial recruitment centers have been recorded in various regions of Ukraine in recent years.
