On the Sunday of the Holy Myrrh-bearing Women, Metropolitan Pavel celebrated the Liturgy in the Vinnytsia Eparchy.
On April 26, 2026, in the third Week after Pascha, Metropolitan Pavel of Vyshhorod and Chornobyl celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Trinity Brailiv Women's Monastery, reports the press service of the Vinnytsia Eparchy.
His Grace was concelebrated by the secretary of the Vinnytsia Eparchy Archimandrite Enoch (Torak), the secretary of the eparchial council Archimandrite Philaret (Olivinsky), the abbot of the Vinnytsia Holy Elijah Monastery Archimandrite Arkady (Senchukovsky), a resident of the Lavra Archimandrite John (Zapisny) and the clergy of the eparchy.
In his sermon, Metropolitan Pavel revealed the spiritual content of Christ's Resurrection. The hierarch of the UOC reminded about the role of the holy myrrh-bearing women, who were the first to hear the joyful news of the Savior's Resurrection from the dead and brought it to the apostles and the whole world.
During the Liturgy, the clergy and parishioners offered special prayers for the repose of the liquidators of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant accident. This year marked 40 years since this large-scale man-made catastrophe.
At the end of the service, the hegumeness of the Brailiv Monastery, Abbess Antonia (Stetsenko), congratulated Metropolitan Pavel on his 65th birthday. The Mother wished the jubilarian good health, longevity and God's help in carrying out his archpastoral labors.
In his response, the abbot of the Lavra thanked the sisters of the convent for their reception and wished them strengthening in their monastic endeavor and paschal joy.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that Metropolitan Pavel performed the tonsure of a new monk for the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
