UOC eparchies hold charitable actions throughout Ukraine at Easter

Believers and clergy of the UOC provided humanitarian aid to military personnel, displaced persons, hospitals and those in need throughout Ukraine.

During the Easter celebration period, eparchies of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church conducted large-scale charitable campaigns, providing assistance to military personnel, displaced persons, children and those in need, reports the UOC Information Center citing eparchial press services.

In different regions of the country, the clergy and believers organized the collection and distribution of humanitarian aid. Volunteers of the Kyiv Eparchy distributed 550 Easter breads, part of which were sent to frontline areas of the Donetsk region, and also given to homeless people, displaced persons, elderly people and residents of boarding institutions.

In the Boryspil Eparchy, humanitarian aid was sent to eastern Ukraine, and blessed Easter breads were given to hospitals and displaced persons. In the Zhytomyr Eparchy, a clergyman visited a military hospital where he delivered food to the wounded.

The Zaporizhzhia Eparchy clergy aided residents of a boarding house, giving Easter gifts and providing spiritual support. The faithful of the Kamyanka Eparchy raised funds to purchase a generator for the military and also visited a center for the homeless.

The Kirovohrad Eparchy provided assistance to a large family and donated funds for a child's treatment, and also provided gift certificates to military families and displaced persons. In the Kremenchuk Eparchy, the clergy congratulated military personnel on Easter and offered prayers for the defenders.

In the Mukachevo Eparchy, orphaned children, displaced persons, sick children, elderly people and low-income families received assistance. In the Nizhyn Diocese, believers visited elderly people, children with disabilities and residents of boarding institutions.

In the Oleksandriia Eparchy, clerics visited a psychoneurological boarding institution and continued conducting charitable meals. The Poltava Eparchy organized Easter performances in children's hospitals and delivered gifts.

The Rivne Eparchy raised funds during a charity fair to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Romny Eparchy clerics delivered medical aid to a military hospital and visited a children's rehabilitation center.

In the Sumy Eparchy, funds collected at the fair were directed to large families and war victims. The clergy the Khmelnytskyi Eparchy blessed water for delivery to military personnel on the front lines and offered prayers for Ukraine's defenders.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that UOC clergy delivered Easter gifts to Lukyanivka detention center.
