UOC chapel dedicated to St. Spyridon of Trimythous consecrated in Vilkhovtsi
A new shrine has appeared in the Tishovo tract in Transcarpathia, where the faithful will be able to offer prayers.
On April 16, 2026, a chapel of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church dedicated to St. Spyridon of Trimythous was consecrated in the village of Vilkhovtsi in Transcarpathia. The rite of consecration was performed by Bishop Mark of Rakhiv, a vicar of the Khust Eparchy, according to the eparchy’s press service.
The shrine is located in the Tishovo tract and has become a new place of prayer for local residents. During the service, special petitions were offered for peace in Ukraine, for the defending soldiers, and for all Orthodox Christians.
After the consecration, the hierarch addressed the faithful with a spiritual message, emphasizing the importance of sincere prayer, living faith, and trust in God in everyday life.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that in Tsyhanivtsi, Transcarpathia, a UOC chapel built by a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was consecrated.
