Online footage shows Easter attendance in UOC and OCU churches of Cherkasy
Orthodox Christians of Cherkasy gathered for Paschal services in the temples of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, ignoring the calls of the OCU.
Hundreds of parishioners came to the Liturgy at the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos Archbishop's Metochion of the UOC in Cherkasy, whereas there were almost no people in the OCU church, reports KozakTv1 channel.
According to the source, hundreds of Orthodox residents of Cherkasy came to the night Liturgy, despite information campaigns and appeals from the local OCU structure not to participate in UOC services.
The published photos show a significant number of believers on the metochion grounds. At the same time, in the St. Michael's Cathedral seized by the OCU, judging by the footage, only a few people attended the Divine service.
Earlier, OCU representatives of Cherkasy warned city residents against attending UOC temples. However, the appeal found no response among local believers.
As the UOJ reported, Yarosh called on OCU and UGCC to stop celebrating Pascha with Russia.
