Nuns pray outdoors after expulsion from Krupytskyi Convent
Reserve staff prohibited the sisters from conducting Divine services in the monastery premises even during rain and snow.
During Holy Week, the nuns of the St. Nicholas Krupytskyi Convent of the UOC in Baturyn had to receive communion practically under the open sky, reports Telegram channel "Dozor".
Due to local authorities and the management of the national reserve, conducting prayers in the monastery has become almost impossible.
Museum staff denied the nuns the right to hold services in the monastery buildings despite the bad weather – it was raining with snow outside at the time. Because of the museum workers' ban, the sisters organized the sacrament of confession in the unheated tower of the monastery gates.
"This was perhaps the first Communion of the sisters with presanctified gifts during the entire Great Lent," said Abbess Dorothea.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the OCU created a clone of Krupytskyi Monastery from which the authorities expelled the UOC.
