His Beatitude consecrates vehicles for evacuation of wounded soldiers
The Primate of the UOC consecrated five vehicles purchased with the funds collected by clerics and laypeople from Ukraine and Europe.
His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry consecrated five vehicles on March 4, 2026, which were donated for the evacuation of wounded Ukrainian soldiers. This was reported by the UOC press service.
The vehicles were transferred to the 5th Separate Assault Kyiv Brigade, where Archpriest John Nemesh, a cleric of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, serves as senior combat medic. He is also the dean of the Makarov Deanery of the Kyiv Eparchy.
It is noted that four more units of equipment are currently being sent to Ukraine.
The fundraising for the purchase of the vehicles was conducted by clergy and laypeople of the UOC in different countries. The Western European Vicariate of the UOC, the Petro Kalnyshevsky Foundation for Support of Ukraine's Defenders, as well as the Khust and Bila Tserkva eparchies participated in the campaign. In the Czech Republic, the collection was organized by Archpriests Dmytro Kryvanych, Anatoly Shyika, and Mykhailo Roman. The organizers expressed gratitude to all who helped implement this project of mercy.
As the UOJ reported, His Beatitude Onuphry performed a litiya for fallen soldiers.
