Huz demanded that the authorities "resolve the situation" with the St. Nicholas Monastery of the Volodymyr-Volynsky Eparchy of the UOC.

MP Ihor Huz raised the issue of the St. Nicholas Monastery of the UOC in Myltsi during a meeting with the acting head of the Volyn Regional Military Administration Roman Romaniuk. Huz wrote about this on his Facebook page on February 18, 2026.

According to him, during the negotiations, among other things, the expropriation of the premises of the monastery of the Volodymyr-Volynsky Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Myltsi, Volyn region, was discussed.

The MP reported that he "emphasized the need for clear and lawful resolution of the situation and prevention of process delays."

As the UOJ wrote, earlier Huz discussed with Dumenko a plan to seize two shrines of the UOC in Volyn – the Zymne Sviatohirsk Convent and the Holy Dormition Nizkynychi Monastery.
