Vitaliy Kryvytsky stated that Ukraine is experiencing "not a crisis, but a catastrophe" with demographics and called for not surrendering conservative values to Russia.

The Ordinary of the Kyiv-Zhytomyr Diocese of the RCC Bishop Vitaliy Kryvytsky stated in an interview with Radio NV that Ukraine is choosing the path of the liberal part of Europe, which often does not align with supporting conservative values. Because of this, a demographic crisis is emerging in Ukraine.

Kryvytskyi stated that he raised the issue of demographic catastrophe in Ukraine even at meetings with the President and Prime Minister: "What is this war for if in 15 years there are no one to pay pension taxes, if we have no people? Today we don't have a crisis, we have a catastrophe."

The bishop linked demographic problems with the "liberal wing" that Ukraine has taken: "If we were talking about demography – there are reasons for that wing we have taken, because those same states we are talking about, the liberal ones – they have the same problems. And at the same time in conservative circles there everything is fine."

Kryvytsky emphasized that abandoning conservative values just because the Russian Federation demonstratively supports them is a path to nowhere: "When we talk about respecting family values, conservative values, and we give this only to Russia, saying that they are such admirers, then we won't go that way? They pay taxes – will we stop paying? They do other things that are also done in Poland, and in Italy, and in the United States, and in Argentina. Will we stop just because Russians do it?"

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Kryvytsky called the culinary show in the Lavra "a revival of communism".
