The monastery honored the memory of St. Amphilochius of Pochaiv and offered prayers for peace in Ukraine.

Thousands of pilgrims gathered on January 1, 2025, at the Holy Dormition Pochaiv Lavra to honor the memory of St. Amphilochius of Pochaiv.

The celebrations began on December 29 with the transfer of the saint's relics from the Cave Church to the Transfiguration Cathedral and the subsequent akathist. On the saint's memorial day, seven hierarchs, led by the abbot of the Lavra, Metropolitan Volodymyr, conducted an all-night Vigil and the Divine Liturgy. Prayers were offered for peace in Ukrainian land, its defenders, and deliverance from the enemy.

Pilgrims also had the opportunity to pray at the night Liturgy, for which many arrived at the monastery in advance and stayed until dawn.

As reported by the UOJ, the relics of Sts. Job and Amphilochius of Pochaiv were permanently transferred to a church in Khmelnytskyi. Particles of the relics, previously kept at the Pochaiv Lavra, were transferred to the Church of the Pantanassa Icon of the Mother of God, where they are available for veneration by the faithful. St. Amphilochius of Pochaiv is one of the most revered saints of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, known for his prayerful feats and gift of healing.
