The image of Ilya of Murom bears the symbols of the “Northern Resistance Movement.”

The Orthodox Church of Ukraine presented a new “icon” of St. Ilya of Murom, which was placed next to his relics in the Near Caves of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra.

The official website of the OCU published photographs from a “service” led by Epifaniy Dumenko in the Vvedensky Church of the Kyiv Caves on the feast day of St. Ilya (according to the new calendar). Among the images released by the press service was a photograph of an unconventional “icon” depicting the saint with Cossack-style moustaches. The “icon” also features a trident and a chevron of the “Northern Resistance Movement,” showing a white wolf and a green Odal rune.

The OCU did not specify whether this new “icon” will remain permanently next to the relics of the venerable saint or whether it was a one-time display.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that the authorities once again allowed Dumenko access to the Near Caves of the Lavra.
