A questionnaire for children aged 8–17 with questions about gender, mental state, and LGBT has raised concerns among parental organizations in the EU.

On November 27, 2025, a new survey for children aged 8-17 was published on the official online platform of the European Union, which the EU recommends schools in all member countries to conduct.

The questionnaire is part of the European Child Guarantee program and is available in all EU languages. It asks minors to provide their name, age, and then choose one of four gender options: boy, girl, prefer not to say, other. Children are also asked questions about their mental state and whether they consider themselves part of the "LGBT community".

In the survey description, Brussels claims that the purpose of the study is to hear children's opinions "about things like poverty, fairness, inclusion and availability of support and help for those who need it in your country". The results, as stated, will be used to update the program for the protection of children's rights.

EU parental organizations view the appearance of such a questionnaire as part of ideological pressure on schools. Magdalena Czarnik from the Polish Parents Association noted: "Children are being offered to choose or change gender, to indicate 'other'. This is a direct step towards blurring basic concepts and interfering with family upbringing."

According to her, such initiatives are supported by organizations funded by the European Commission, making the survey an element of a broader gender campaign in EU countries.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that same-sex marriages concluded in any EU state are recognized throughout the Union regardless of internal laws.
