Ukraine’s ambassador to the UK, speaking in a London UAOC church, described the enemy’s cunning against Ukrainians.

On November 23, 2025, Ukraine’s ambassador to the United Kingdom, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, delivered a religious address from the ambo of the Transfiguration UAOC Church in London, marking the anniversary of the Holodomor.

According to Zaluzhnyi, he possesses the ability to hear what the souls of those who died during the Holodomor say, and he can relay their words.

“I hear what they say: that they were tortured because they were deprived of the ability to fight, because they were exhausted, because they trusted friends and, most of all, trusted their enemies,” the ambassador said.

Zaluzhnyi went on to say that the souls of the dead told him that “millions of Ukrainian hearts were scattered across the world, and those who survived were swallowed by the enemy into another war.”

“And they also say that those who survived that terrible war were forced by the enemy to forget their language, their culture, their God, and their Church,” Zaluzhnyi conveyed the words of the deceased.

The ambassador urged people not to give up, but rather “to live in order to fight,” because “that is apparently our destiny.”

“For only in struggle can we Ukrainians win life for ourselves,” he emphasized.

Zaluzhnyi expressed confidence that the victims of the Holodomor “just like Jesus, likely died so that we might live and remember.”

He called for the memory of the dead to “never allow us to forget what happens when you trust your enemy.”
“God loves Ukraine, and God loves all of us. Glory to Ukraine!” Zaluzhnyi concluded.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that, according to Zaluzhnyi, it is not enough for Ukrainians to be willing to die – they must be willing to kill for Ukraine.
