Military enlistment officers in Dnipro detained Archbishop Andriy of Dnipropetrovsk and Petropavlivka and transported him to the city’s Central Military Enlistment Office.
On November 26, 2025, staff of the Territorial Recruitment Center in Dnipro detained Archbishop Andriy of Dnipropetrovsk and Petropavlivka. The hierarch was taken to the city’s Central Enlistment and Mobilization Center.
“Just yesterday we were with him at Metropolitan Arseniy’s court hearing. Looks like they were keeping an eye on Archbishop Andriy,” one subscriber wrote to the UOJ newsroom and asked for prayers for the bishop.
However, according to Pershyi Kozatskyi, the archbishop was released from the building after several hours. “According to available information, late last night he was rescued from the distribution center and returned to his flock in the eparchy,” the outlet reported.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that a UOC bishop had been abducted by enlistment officers.
