A 65-year-old woman was officially declared dead, but before the cremation began, she started knocking on the coffin lid and asking for help.

In Thailand, a 65-year-old woman "came alive" in her coffin moments before the cremation was to begin. As reported by Daily Mail, the elderly Chonthirot was officially declared dead on November 23, her body was placed in a white coffin and taken to a temple near Bangkok, where the cremation was to take place.

Temple worker Tammanun said that it was during the transfer of the coffin to the hall for the farewell ceremony that he heard a faint knock and a cry for help. "I pulled back the cloth and saw that she was moving. She was conscious, breathing weakly, and nodding her head, but couldn't speak. I was stunned," he said.

The brother of the "deceased" admitted that he was in shock and nearly fainted upon seeing that his sister was alive.

The woman was urgently taken to Bang Yai Hospital.

The family says that Chonthirot had been bedridden for two years, and no one expected her return to life.

It was later revealed that the woman had a critically low blood sugar level, and the conclusion of cardiac arrest was erroneous. She is now under medical supervision.

As reported by СПЖ, a Buddha statue collapsed in Thailand, resulting in casualties.
