In Novosilky, persecuted UOC parish begins to pray in construction trailer
The faithful experienced a brutal seizure of their church by OCU raiders and the arson of the house where they gathered for prayer.
On November 4, 2021, Orthodox residents of the village Novosilky, Kyiv region, prayed for the first time in an adapted construction trailer. As the Telegram channel "Dozor" reports, the UOC parish of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos received the opportunity to conduct services under a roof.
This became possible thanks to the help of caring Orthodox Christians.
"The much-suffering UOC parish in Novosilky experienced a brutal seizure of its church by OCU raiders and the arson of the prayer house, which was destroyed by fire to the ground by unknown individuals. Orthodox Christians do not give up; they restore their liturgical life again and again," the message says.
"Dozor" also calls to help the faithful acquire the necessary liturgical items.

As UOJ wrote, in October 2024, a group of OCU raiders brutally seized the UOC church. They previously falsified documents and, under the guidance of the Uniate cleric Medinsky, broke into the sanctuary.
After the church seizure, Epiphany's raiders disposed icons and liturgical literature as trash. Then unknown individuals again entered the territory of a private house where UOC parishioners prayed after their church was seized. The intruders smashed windows on the veranda and tore out carpets. Later, unknown individuals burned the prayer place of the persecuted community.
