A new guide reveals the history, meaning, and contemporary practice of Orthodox worship.
On November 3, 2025, a new textbook for theological educational institutions titled "Liturgics" was released at the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary (KDAiS). This was reported by the press service of KDAiS. The book was prepared by the Academy's associate professor, Archimandrite Afanasiy (Streltsov), and continues the series of educational publications of the Kyiv Theological Schools.
The publication was released with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine and recommended for printing by the Academic Council of KDAiS (journal No. 202 dated October 22, 2025).
The textbook is intended for students of theological institutions and all who wish to deepen their knowledge of the worship of the Orthodox Church. The book examines the history of the formation of liturgical statutes, the structure and meaning of Orthodox worship, as well as the features of conducting liturgy in our days. A distinctive feature of the publication is the visual illustrations and diagrams that help better understand the material.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the UOC held a seminar on canonical law in Kyiv.
