Vance: Aliens may be manifestations of the spiritual world
The U.S. Vice President offered a Christian interpretation of the UFO phenomenon.
U.S. Vice President James David Vance suggested in an interview on the podcast Pod Force One that so-called “aliens” might in fact be manifestations of spiritual forces rather than beings from extraterrestrial civilizations.
When asked by journalist Miranda Devine whether he believes in the existence of aliens, the Vice President gave an extended answer from a Christian perspective:
“It's interesting. I wouldn't say that I do or don't believe it. I mean, I'm a big believer that there are things out there that we can't explain. And so, if another person sees an alien, maybe I see an angel or a demonings in this world that we simply cannot explain. If someone says they’ve seen an alien, perhaps I would take that as an encounter with an angel or a demon,” Vance said.
According to the Vice President, he is convinced that spiritual powers exist and work on the physical world, even though most people neither see nor understand them.
"But you know, is it aliens, or is it our guardian angel, or is it aliens, or is it a not so guardian force that doesn't care about us and, in fact, actively wishes us harm? I don't know the answer to that question,” Vance admitted.
He emphasized that in such uncertainty, he relies on spiritual discipline: “What I try to do is I try to say my prayers. I try to be as good of a person as I can be and I try to do a good job and hopefully that's all I need to do.”
In the same interview, Vance also spoke about his recent pilgrimage to Jerusalem, where he visited the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and took part in a private Mass at the site of Christ’s crucifixion. He described the experience as “the most astonishing moment of my life.”
Earlier, the UOJ reported Vance explaining why Christian values are the key to America’s future.
