The government has approved a set of events for the observance of the National Day of Prayer.

On October 22, 2025, Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko signed a decree “On the Approval of the Action Plan for the Celebration of the National Day of Prayer,” which is to be held annually on the anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine – February 24.

The plan includes, in particular, sectoral events such as “Prayers for the Healthcare Sector,” the holding of solemn services and prayers for Ukraine by religious organizations, participation of representatives of foreign religious bodies in sessions of the Verkhovna Rada, and ceremonies of honor and gratitude to all who gave their lives defending freedom and independence. Libraries are instructed to organize thematic book and illustration displays, as well as literature exhibitions and reviews dedicated to the topic of the full-scale invasion.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that in February 2025, the Verkhovna Rada officially established February 24 as the National Day of Prayer.
