In a historic address to the Knesset, the American president publicly spoke for the first time about his daughter's conversion to Judaism.

On October 13, 2025, during a historic speech in the Israeli parliament, U.S. President Donald Trump publicly revealed his daughter Ivanka's conversion to Judaism.

"let me also give a very special thanks to someone who truly loves Israel. In fact, loves it so much that my daughter converted. My daughter converted. I didn’t know this was going to happen."

This refers to Ivanka Trump, the president's eldest daughter, who married Jared Kushner, the son of an Orthodox Jewish family, in 2009. Before the wedding, Ivanka, who was raised in a Presbyterian Christian family, converted to Judaism under the guidance of Rabbi Haskel Lookstein from the renowned New York modern Orthodox synagogue Congregation Kehilath Jeshurun.

Addressing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump humorously noted: "Bibi, you do know this was not in the cards for me. You understand that?"

The President also highly praised the role of his son-in-law Jared Kushner in the Middle East peace negotiations. Kushner played a key role in the creation of the 2020 Abraham Accords – historic peace agreements between Israel and several Arab countries. Additionally, he was involved in mediating the recent ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and the release of hostages.

Kushner and Ivanka Trump have three children: Arabella (14 years old), Joseph (11 years old), and Theodore (9 years old), who are being raised in the Jewish faith.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that, according to Trump, the end of the war in Gaza is a great day for the Islamic world.
