Supreme Court to hear UOC Kyiv Metropolia's appeal on October 28

The appeal will be heard by the Cassation Administrative Court in Kyiv; the preparatory stage has been completed.
On October 7, 2025, the Supreme Court of Ukraine issued a ruling scheduling the consideration of appellate case No. 855/11/25 (proceeding A/990/13/25) concerning the Kyiv Metropolia of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
The ruling states that the preparatory actions in the case have been completed, and the appellate proceedings have been scheduled for hearing. The Court ordered a session with the participation of the parties to review the appeal filed by the Kyiv Metropolia of the UOC.
The hearing will take place on October 28, 2025, at 15:00, in the Cassation Administrative Court of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, located at 8 Knyaziv Ostrozkykh Street, Building 5, Kyiv.
The decision of the Supreme Court takes effect immediately upon signing and is not subject to appeal. The obligation to publish the notice of the hearing was assigned to the State Service of Ukraine for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience (DESS).
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Supreme Court had opened a case regarding the UOC’s appeal against the orders issued by DESS.
