Hearing on the ban of UOC Kyiv Metropolis postponed

The next meeting will take place in a month, on October 30, 2025.
On September 30, 2025, a hearing was scheduled in the Sixth Appellate Administrative Court regarding the lawsuit of the State Ethnopolitics Service seeking to terminate the activities of the Kyiv Metropolis of the UOC. However, the session did not take place due to the illness of one of the judges.
“In connection with the fact that one of the members of the judicial panel fell ill just yesterday, and so that another judge would not have to urgently review the entire body of materials, it was decided to cancel today’s hearing of this case,” the judge told those present.
The next session will take place in a month, on October 30.
Hundreds of UOC faithful gathered outside the courthouse, yet they were barred from entering the courtroom, even though the hearing was public.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that a U.S. politician had addressed the judges on the eve of the UOC hearing.
