SBU issues a warning to priest for ignoring decisions of UOC Council

A cleric of the Khust Eparchy was summoned to the SBU.
In Zakarpattia, SBU officers summoned UOC Archimandrite Venedikt (Khromey) to the office to issue him a warning for not complying with the decisions of the UOC Council, writes the clergyman.
"Today I had the honor of being invited to the SBU, where I was officially notified of a warning for not complying with the resolutions of the UOC Council in Feofania," the archimandrite reported.
Fr. Venedikt did not specify how the SBU could notify anything in a field where they have no authority. He did not provide any details of his communication with the law enforcement officers.
According to Article 35 of the Constitution, the Church in Ukraine is separated from the state.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that a criminal case was initiated against the cleric of the Khust Eparchy, Archimandrite Venedikt. The clergyman was charged under Part 1 of Article 436-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for a Facebook frame with a Victory Day greeting, which he posted back in 2020. He was found guilty and sentenced to 3 years of suspended imprisonment, which was replaced with a one-year probation period.
