Dumenko performs a lity for Parubiy
Parubiy positioned himself as a Greek Catholic.
On August 30, 2025, the head of the OCU Epifaniy Dumenko performed a lity for the murdered former VR Speaker Andriy Parubiy. The religious event took place at the Lviv Church of John Chrysostom.
Together with Dumenko, Ukrainian MP Rostyslav Tistyk, OCU 'hierarchs' and 'clergy' prayed. According to Dumenko, he expects those involved in Parubiy's murder to be punished.
Parubiy himself positioned himself as a Greek Catholic. On social media, he posted photos celebrating Easter in a Uniate church in Lviv.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that, according to Shevchuk, Parubiy's murder is a crime against the entire Ukrainian people.
