Dumenko hurried with negative news about Filaret’s health.

The day after the official OCU press service announced the “obvious deterioration of health” of Filaret Denysenko, the head of the UOC-KP appeared in public, presiding over the “service” for the Dormition at St. Volodymyr’s Cathedral in Kyiv.

On August 27, Filaret attended the evening “service,” and on August 28 – the “liturgy.” On August 26, the day the OCU published its report on Filaret’s health, the Kyiv Patriarchate press service stated that the health of the UOC-KP head was satisfactory, as he had undergone a scheduled examination and treatment.

Online commentators wrote that Dumenko and Zoria are prematurely “burying” Filaret and advised the OCU to hire proper PR specialists.

As a reminder, the OCU had previously expressed concern about the condition of its “honorary patriarch” Filaret Denysenko.
