On Dormition Feast, 3D model exhibition to open at Lavra's Refectory Church

At the Refectory Church, VR tours, musical compositions by Ukrainian artists, and video installations will be broadcast.
On the Feast of Dormition, August 28, 2025, at the Refectory Church of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, the authorities will open an exhibition of 3D models, reports the Lavra Reserve management on Facebook.
The exhibition will feature 3D models of Orthodox and Catholic churches, as well as the Luhansk Drama Theater and the "Ukraine" hotel.
It is reported that VR tours will be placed in the church, and "musical compositions by Ukrainian artists and video installations allowing one to hear the 'voices' of monuments and immerse in their space" will be broadcast. Previously, the show was held in Finland, France, Germany, and other EU countries.
The event was received negatively in the comments.
"Is there no space in the vast Kyiv to house the model exhibition? It must be done in the church. What else will the Reserve come up with to attract people to its gaping void? A luna park? A variety show?" wrote Archbishop Ion of Obukhiv.
"Are there really no exhibition halls in Ukraine???? There should be a Liturgy in the church, not exhibitions," supported the hierarch Volodymyr Nizynko.
"Do we really have such a problem with exhibition halls?" asked Natalia Nakalyuzhna of the reserve.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that a culinary show and a song and dance performance were held at the Refectory Church of the Lavra
