Provocateurs with anti-church posters gather near Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra
Activists shouted their slogans, recorded a video, and left.
On August 23, 2025, before the start of the evening service, anti-church provocateurs gathered near the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra after a long absence. This was reported on the Telegram channel "Fortress Lavra".
A small group of the so-called activists hung anti-church posters in front of the monastery.
"Again these shouts, inciting hatred against our Lavra. 'Lavra kills', said one of the activists against our monastery," the message says.
Believers recognized the provocateurs who came to fight the monastery back in 2023.
"They shouted, recorded a video, gathered, and left," they said on the channel.
As reported by the UOJ, a political expert warned that higher powers might strike back for sacrilege in the Lavra.
