A unique temple complex in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow" has been under construction for three years.

In Bulgaria, a priest from the Odesa Eparchy, Archpriest Hennadiy Martynov, met with the country's President Rumen Radev and told him about a spiritual and architectural project in the city of Artsyz. As the press service reports, the cleric acted with the blessing of the ruling hierarch, Metropolitan Agafangel of Odesa and Izmail.

Father Hennadiy is the rector of the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow" in Artsyz, Odesa region. He has been implementing a new spiritual and architectural project in the town of Artsyz for several years.

The clergyman also conveyed the blessing from the Odesa Metropolitan to the President of Bulgaria. He spoke about his attention to the national Orthodox minorities in the region.

As the UOJ wrote, during the war in Artsyz, an unusual church is being built. In the small town of Odesa, the idea of creating an "oasis of ancient Christianity" with all its attributes and details is being realized.

In April of this year, Bulgarian Patriarch Daniel blessed a pilgrimage trip of the UOC to Bulgaria, so that they could tell the faithful of his Church about the unique construction in Artsyz and, if possible, collect funds for the construction of the church complex.
